Search Innovation AwardSearch Innovation Award

Even though search advertising has been around for almost twenty years, it remains one of the most effective types of online marketing. Demonstrate your company’s expertise and innovation with Google search ads by applying for the Search Innovation Award. For example, in your application you can highlight how your use of auto-bidding or optimizing beyond the last click has helped clients achieve their goals online.

To be considered for the Search Innovation Award, your company must:

The Google Display Network (GDN) allows companies to connect with customers through a variety of digital ad formats across over two million websites. Google Shopping Campaigns help online businesses reach the potential customers who matter most: Those searching for what a business is selling. For example, in your application you can highlight how your company has used online to offline or Showcase Shopping ads to boost your clients’ sales.

To be considered for the Shopping Innovation Award, your company must:

Video Innovation AwardVideo Innovation Award

Video ads on YouTube allow companies to tell stories and build their brands with the power of sight, sound and motion when consumers lean into engage with their most favorite content and creators. Share how you’ve used video advertising on YouTube to grow your clients’ businesses by applying for the Video Innovation Award. In your application you can highlight the use of some of the latest video ad formats such as Bumper ads or 360° video and how these formats drove results for your clients. Alternatively, you can showcase how you worked to combine old and new formats to build cross-format innovations on YouTube to drive results. We recognize that often video campaigns are built in close collaboration with multiple agencies, and we welcome joint submissions from multiple agencies for the Video Innovation Award.

To be considered for the Video Innovation Award, your company must:

  • Currently have the Video Advertising Specialization in Google Partners.

Growing Businesses Online AwardGrowing Businesses Online Award

How It Works

Choose your location to see how the awards work for you.

North, Central & South America

For each of the six award categories, there will be one regional winner from North America and one regional winner from Central & South America. Regional winners will be announced online and via email in August.

One of the two regional winners for each award category will then be selected by independent judges to represent the Americas and compete at the global awards against the regional nominees for each category from Europe, Middle East and Africa, and from Asia Pacific. Global winners will be announced at the Google Partner Summit in New York City on September 28, 2017.

Europe, Middle East & Africa

For each of the six award categories, there will be one regional winner chosen from Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA). Regional winners will be announced on September 7, 2017 at the Google Partners Accelerate event in Dublin, Ireland. Regional winners for each award category will represent EMEA at the global awards and compete against the Americas nominee and the Asia Pacific nominee for each category. Global winners will be announced at the Google Partner Summit in New York City on September 28, 2017.

Asia Pacific

For each of the six* award categories, there will be awards given in the six following markets:

  • Australia and New Zealand
  • China, Hong Kong and Taiwan
  • India
  • Japan
  • Korea
  • Southeast Asia (Singapore, Malaysia, Vietnam, Philippines, Thailand and Indonesia)

Award winners in each market will be announced in August at in-person events or via email. From the six winners in each category, one regional nominee per category will be chosen by independent judges to represent Asia Pacific at the global awards. Those nominees will compete at the global awards against nominees from the Americas and Europe, the Middle East and Africa in each of the six award categories. Global winners will be announced at the Google Partner Summit in New York City on September 28, 2017.

*Unfortunately, due to the low number of eligible Premier Partners, we are not offering the Shopping Innovation Award in China, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Korea, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand and Vietnam; or the Video Innovation Award in India and Japan.

Prepare your application

With up to six categories to apply for, make sure to plan ahead to work on your application with your team. You’ll need to submit a few essays and a client case study for each category you apply to in order to show us why your company should win.

Submit your application

Make sure to fill out and submit your company’s application for the award categories of your choosing no later than 5:00 PT on May 26, 2017. We’ll announce the shortlisted Premier Partners for each award category in July.

How many award categories can my company apply for?

Each Premier Partner can submit one entry for each award category, which means you can apply for all six award categories if you’d like!

What is a client case study?

A client case study is your way to clearly demonstrate how your company’s expertise, innovation and work in a particular area (like search or mobile advertising, for example) have helped achieve a client’s advertising goals. The case study should be either a document, PDF or video and should focus on one client only. Client case studies are required for all award categories. You will need to have the client you’re featuring in the case study sign a Case Study Release Form and upload the signed form in your application.
